dvdsplit

This splits a long DVD into two separate movie files then creates a pair of smaller DVDs using http://dvdwizard.wershofen.net/

, preserving chapter offsets. Useful for backing up a dual layer DVD onto two single-layer DVD-Rs. It also requires lsdvd and mplayer/mencoder or streamdvd (if you can find it).

Or you can use dvdsplit just to display chapter start times on a single line ready to pass to dvdauthor (lsdvd displays multiple lines of chapter lengths so the information needs parsing for use with dvdauthor).
